Overview

This is an Axis Communications P12 Mk II Main Unit, Part No. 0896-001-02, the processing core of Axis's P12-series modular network camera system. In the modular design, this main unit handles video processing, network communication, and power delivery, while connecting to a separate sensor unit (lens and image sensor) via a detachable cable — allowing the compact sensor to be placed discreetly while the main unit sits elsewhere with more available space. The main unit features a status LED, control button, RJ12 connector for the sensor unit cable, a PoE network connector, and a microSD card slot for local storage.
