Overview

This is an Eckelmann UA 400 E CC, a case controller for electronic expansion valves (EEV) from the UA 400 Family — a backward-compatible, more powerful replacement for Eckelmann's earlier UA 300 Family. Configured as a universal controller for 2 valves in a DIN-rail mounted enclosure, it handles cooling, defrosting, fan, and pane-heater control along with alarm monitoring, and can connect to Eckelmann's BT 300 family of operator interfaces for local display and configuration.

Key Features

  • Electronic expansion valve control: Purpose-built for controlling electronic expansion valves (EEV), offering more precise refrigerant flow regulation than thermostatic expansion valve controllers.
  • Comprehensive relay and transistor outputs: 4 normally-open plus 3 changeover relay outputs (230V AC/6A floating) for cooling, defrosting, fan, and pane heater control, plus 2 transistor outputs (24V DC, max 50mA) for alarm and anti-condensation heater functions.
  • Analog constant regulation outputs: 2 x 0-10V DC analog outputs for precise, continuous control functions.
  • Floating digital inputs: 4 x 230V AC floating digital inputs for setpoint toggle, manual shutoff, cold room door monitoring, and defrosting control.
  • Watchdog monitoring: Built-in watchdog function for reliable, continuous controller operation.
  • Energy-efficient power supply: Just 11 VA power consumption, minimizing standby energy use.
