Overview
This is a RoboteQ SBLMG2360T, a Gen4 (RoboG4) high-current, dual-channel controller for brushless DC motors, and a direct replacement for RoboteQ's earlier SBLM23xx series. Built on a 4th-generation processor, it brings performance, algorithmic, and functional-safety improvements over the standard SBL23xx line, including integrated Safe Torque Off (STO). The controller supports a wide selection of rotor position sensor types to generate smooth, continuous motor rotation, and can be commanded via serial, USB, analog, or pulse signals, with multiple controllers networkable over low-cost twisted-pair CAN bus.
Key Features
- Dual-channel Gen4 architecture: Drives two brushless DC motors, each rated 20A continuous, 30A for 30 seconds, and 45A peak for 2 seconds, at up to 60V.
- Functional safety — Safe Torque Off (STO): Certified to PLe, Category 3, SIL3, providing certified safe motor shutdown for applications with functional-safety requirements.
- Field Oriented Control (FOC): Supports both Trapezoidal and Sinusoidal commutation with FOC, plus acceleration/velocity feed-forward and fast loop frequency for precise speed, torque, or position control.
- Broad rotor sensor support: Compatible with Encoder, Hall sensor, Sin/Cos, and SSI feedback types, covering most common motor sensor configurations.
- Extensive I/O and connectivity: Up to 8 analog inputs, 10 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, and 8 pulse inputs; communication via RS232, RS485, USB, and CAN bus, using Molex connectors for power and signal wiring.
- Scriptable, field-reprogrammable operation: Fully automatable and customizable with Basic Language scripts, configured and tuned in real time using RoboteQ's free PC utility, with field firmware updates available from RoboteQ.
