This is the remote receiving unit of an Aten VE-150 VGA video extender kit, which extends VGA video signals over standard Cat5e/6 cable up to 150 m between a local transmitting unit and this remote unit. It's designed for situations where a display needs to be placed far from its source computer — such as factories, construction sites, or control rooms — while keeping the source system in a safer, more accessible location.
