Hesai Pandar40P 40-Channel 360° Spinning Long-Range LiDAR, DC 9-48V

Premium mechanical LiDAR for autonomous driving, robotics, and 3D mapping

Overview

This is a Hesai Pandar40P, a 40-channel mechanical LiDAR that creates 360° 3D imaging by rotating 40 laser diode pairs inside a sealed housing. As the flagship upgrade of Hesai's original Pandar40, the 40P introduces full interference rejection technology — coding each emitted beam so the sensor only accepts its own reflected signal, eliminating cross-talk noise when multiple LiDAR units operate near each other. With a wide DC 9-48V input range and long detection range, it's built for demanding autonomous driving, HD mapping, and logistics applications used across a wide range of self-driving vehicle platforms worldwide.

Key Features

  • 40 laser channels: Enhanced point cloud density for detailed mapping and object detection across the full 360° horizontal field of view.
  • Full interference rejection: Each emitted laser beam carries a unique code, so the sensor only accepts matching reflected beams — eliminating cross-talk when multiple LiDAR units operate in proximity.
  • Extended detection range: Reaches up to 200 m even at 10% target reflectivity (such as dark-colored vehicles), improving early obstacle detection and safe driving speed.
  • Wide voltage compatibility: Operates seamlessly between DC 9V and DC 48V, giving flexible power input options across different platforms.
  • Rigorously tested reliability: Passed HALT (highly accelerated life test), vibration strength testing, and mechanical resonance testing for stable performance in harsh environments.
  • Time-of-Flight distance measurement: Calculates precise distance by measuring the time between laser emission and the detected returning beam.
