Overview

The VAMP 255 is a feeder and motor manager used for the selective protection of overhead line feeders, cable feeders, motor feeders, capacitor banks, reactors, and busbars in power system distribution substations, power plants, industrial power systems, and marine and offshore installations. It provides 5 current and 3 voltage inputs, enabling directional overcurrent protection and various voltage-based protection stages, along with auto-reclose functionality and a built-in Ethernet interface supporting native IEC 61850 communication. The relay also includes optional arc flash protection, extensive bay control functionality, and power quality analysis covering harmonics up to the 15th order along with voltage sag and swell detection.
