Overview
This is a Parker Lord (LORD MicroStrain) 3DM-GX5-AHRS, an industrial-grade Attitude and Heading Reference System built around fully calibrated, temperature-compensated triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors. Two on-board processors run an Auto-Adaptive Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to deliver stable, accurate attitude estimates even under dynamic motion, automatically compensating for noise and vibration in harsh operating environments. This listing includes the sensor unit along with its mounting plate and connector cable, ready for integration into a host system.
Key Features
- Fully calibrated triaxial sensor suite: Integrated accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, plus a pressure altimeter and temperature sensors, all factory-calibrated and temperature-compensated.

Technical Specifications
Integrated sensors: Triaxial accelerometer, triaxial gyroscope, triaxial magnetometer, pressure altimeter, and temperature sensors.
Common sensor range configuration: ±8g accelerometer, ±300°/s gyroscope (typical industrial configuration; other ranges available).
Data outputs: Acceleration, angular rate, magnetic field, ambient pressure, Delta-theta, Delta-velocity (raw IMU); EKF-computed attitude (Euler angles, quaternion, orientation matrix), filter status, and timestamp.
Sampling: Digital sigma-delta ADC sampled at 1 kHz and 4 kHz; 4 kHz data averaged to a 1 kHz nominal output rate, with user-adjustable IIR filtering.
Connector: Micro DB9 connector with color-coded flying leads, compatible with 3DM-GX5, 3DM-GQ7, and C-Series (CX5/CV5) development boards.
